Private owners won’t be aware of the torture that is Motorway ‘for dealers’. Absolute joke of a system. Anyway, I won the car yesterday below its ‘retail price’ reserve and Motorway won’t allow me to negotiate with the seller. If anyone knows the owner in Alton Hampshire please do ask them to get hold of me asap as I’m keen to buy the car.

Thought I’d managed to buy my first car on motorway having looked at on average 1000 cars per day for 6 years now. No wonder the company lose around £50k a day. Madness.

So how does that work on Motorway? You win and then negotiate?
As a dealer:

You win and are obliged to follow it through, pay around £650 fee to Motorway and then go and meet the owner and if described accurately, pay him/her for the car at the price the auction ended.

As an owner:

Put it on, reaches reserve, don’t have to sell it. You decide whether you’d like to accept the offer (the most any dealer in the land is prepared to pay). Doesn’t cost a penny. All the plus side is with the owner.

Hate it with a passion, but a 2018 GT with 12k miles piqued my interest.

PLS9 doesn't come up on the DVLA lookup (I'm sure you tried that). Any other clues from the listing?
