I definitely get the loud then quiet from start up thing. Just having a good check over to be honest. The mechanisms look dry as a nunn's crotch hence my other thread about some lube!

She's getting new front rubber on Saturday so gonna get a quick visual of the valves whilst she's up on the ramp

This is what it should do. It is normal.

Getting my exhaust valves looked at next week, will try and get the solenoid working as the valves basically aren't operating, failing that it'll be have them permanently open.

There is a single solenoid I'm told that resides in the right hand silencer, cannot be bought separately and you have to buy all that exhaust section at £1200. Maserati themselves say that they override lots of these to permanently open as the solenoids are always failing.

I had the RHS back box replaced under warranty. The LHS box was playing up but not at the dealer! Going back in.

My garage is going to see if there's a way in to the solenoid and if so it might just need some light green oil rubbing on it to free it up, I'd imagine the amount of these things failing isn't down to the coil but rather heat drying the moving parts out.

Crazy that you can't by the solenoid separately.

Yours has to be fair got more mods than mine and I would say that at idle with valves closed it is no louder than our everyday Petrol SUV.

Your SUV either isn't running very well or it's a porsche...

There is no comparison between my GT in quiet mode and my Lexus SUV. The GT is a loud car even in quiet mode...

I've measured it at idle with Valves closed in standard and modded form. There is little difference in dB levels.
