The GTS replaced a CL63, it was an incredible feat of engineering. On paper, thrashed the GTS into the weeds in terms of performance, high speed composure and toys. I kept it only for 5 weeks before getting the GTS!!

For me it just wasnt a Maserati, the GTS is far more fun, sounds way better and a great sense of occasion every single day - cant be beaten.

I know that the GranTurismo is a large car but the CL class is bigger still and just looks too big whereas the Maser looks the right size for its styling. Biased though! CL63 would win in a motorway drag race mind.

I agree Bob, the GT is the better looking car. The CL as you say would beat the GTS in a drag, the CL is so composed even an silly speeds, its quite amazing. Still the GTS is the car for me!!

Good thing, really. Performance Deutschland has such a clumsy ring about it compared to Performance Italia. You picked the more evocative brand for sure.

That was the Black edition C63AMG, I think. The yellow thing with the kick-*as5 spoiler on the boot.

...oh it was the SLS that wouldn't go around corners and also ruined its tyres.........a one lap pony as they say.....;)

Exactly. As a long distance motorway express luxury, say for a trip to Le Mans, the CL is a superb car. It's just not exciting to drive; incredibly fast, but it's rather like watching a film in huge silent comfort.

They say to prepare it to the right standard. I think it didn't go to the bodyshop for its dent removal until today.
Never mind, I'm in Austria for a stag do from Thursday anyway, so I'll just have to concentrate on the snow bunnies!
