GS rear seat 'filler'

Hi chaps,

I have a recollection that you can get proper seat 'fillers'for the rear seats of a GS, to fill in the bucket seat. Does anyone know what these are called and where you get them from? The ones I remember seeing were in the Britex fabric (tech cloth) but I would like to know if they're factory fit or if they're bespoke.

I want to get them so a baby seat can fit nicely in the rear....they may not be needed, but I was told they would be.

Cheers
Woody

can you not chuck a couch cushion on the seat to level it up? I'd be surprised if there was a tailor made piece to do this

Seem to remember they were produced for the Australian market. Buy one there and ship back?

****, a £300 cushion! i know accesories and parts for these cars command a premium, but a £300 cushion?

Take a trip to your local tailor. There must be a market for UK produced accessories for these cars.

Hmmmmmm ****new business idea****

Woody, have a chat to D:Class who would hopefully make one up for less than that. D:Class are a specialist car upholsterer very well regarded on Merc forums.

I've always used a few scatter cushions and a towel on top for the inevitable mess that usually follows!

If you want something firm to mount the child seat on, if you buy a booster seat (for an older child) take the little arms off, turn it upside down and plonk it in the seat recess, you should have a cheap, firm base for the child seat.
