Grin Factor

My past car history was pretty average , when i first got to drive my 4200 all done and sparkly , the overall experience was just wow, and i had driven some nice , some even brand new , even brand new Ferrari Berlinetta Boxers, Dino's and the odd Daytona ,even rarer de Tomasa Pantera's but all back in the late seventies, we had loads of oppurtunity to givem real stick up and down the car decks and into compounds a mile or so away, , but none of that even compared to the grin factor of owning and driving my very own masser which i put at around 8.5 because i know there's better out there just not in my price range and ownership yet.

Have you had another car that matches or even surpasses the grin factor that you get from your masser if so what car please tell me

regards loz

Its not in the same league, but at the time and age, I got a 2l GTV TS brand new. I came from a string of Renaults and it was just that special feeling it gave, you know, the soul bit. People say that is only a machine and machines cant have soul, but its got something. I remember the drive, it was fantastic, really wind it up.

I remember opening the bonnet and wonder just how I had only parted with £20k for such a beast, the detail under the hood was amazing.

When my dad asked me to take him to the airport, I was 17, just passed my test...gave me the keys to his Audi 200 Turbo and said "use it whilst I am away"...ohhhh yes, so much better than my Fiesta 850.

Went for a run in Manchester in the night and almost killed myself a couple of times not realising just how fast it went...and still remember stopping at the lights, a Poice Capri 2.8 pulled up along side, the police woman rolled down her window ans said..."take care of daddies car dear"...smile went!
