Have posted in a few threads but thought I'd introduce myself.

Long time Alfa Romeo driver but the time has come to step up and get into something I've always desired for as long as I can remember.

Currently searching for a low mileage QP Sport GT. Very rare in this part of the world but I'm prepared to wait.

Have driven a few and just fell in love with the sound and look, not to mention the storied history. Maserati really have been on top of their game since their sister partnership with Ferrari.

Looking forward to hearing from other owners and learning more about the model and the marque in general.

Hi Cavalier, your most welcome , seen you lurking just recently ( forgive the term ) hope you like what you see , feel free to browse gain and glean what info you need , QP is a great car , for the earlier models QP 4 im sure Enzo or Masaerati will help you out, , there are a few enhancements that will crisp things up a little , firstly the formular dynamics drive by wire a must , coupled with as much Larini exhaust system as you can afford , listen to the clips on here it sounds so ferrari esque and shifts and rev accordingly as you would expect im sure they will be on later enjoy your search

regards loz

Isn't Cavalier our third 'southerner'? May be wrong?

Anyway, an official welcome to the forum Cavalier. Hope you find the information you need and that there's a car out there with your name on it.

Cheers, Miles.

Hi P, Move over, I'll join you! We actually appear to have five Antipodean members... Cavalier, Adam01, OzzieAl, Howie and PHRA, there may even be others besides.

Certainly shows the forum is being read far and wide. We'll need an Auzzie Chapter soon.

Sydney - cool!
I used to live in Coogee 10 years ago, many a day wasted (sometimes literally) in the CBH :)
Funnily enough only this morning I was trying to remember the name of a restaurant to the left of circular quay looking at the opera house, it did the most amazing three tier sea food platter for next to nothing - maybe next to doyles or there about??

Looking at moving back in 4 years time once the mrs has finished uni. Good luck on your quest, you never know in a few years time we might meet up for a blat out to the mountains :)

Ps, if you like the look of my GTS from my avatar, check out my thread the GT section posted in June for more pics

The Coogee Bay Hotel. Great venue, or at least used to be. Been there many times. Unfortunately these days, it seems to be filled with boozed up losers itching for a fight.

Great strip of restaurants at Circular Quay. The Harbour Kitchen and Bar among my favourites. Wouldn't be that one would it? Great seafood and unbelievable views.

Was looking at a new GTS in Sydney the other day. $369,000 drive-away! Bargain! (Not that it's cheap in the UK).

May just take you up on that mountain blast. Who knows?

Again, congratulations on the Maser. The ultimate model/spec. for mine.

Edit: Just saw your GT-S thread. Absolutely stunning! What an amazing model. I would imagine it would be the sort of vehicle, to borrow a Clarksonism, that makes you say "Yes...I drive a Maserati. Life's Good".

Wishing you many happy smiles per mile (not that you would need any urging in that thing of beauty - lol).

Just looked at the link for harbour kitchen and makes me want to get on a plane tonight! Oh, it's been too long since I was there last! (by 'there' I mean Sydney)
I don't think that was the place I went to, but as you say there's loads of lovely places down there.

I think it might be a little far to fly over just for a meal... although I did once fly back to London from Sydney for the weekend for my mates 50th birthday!
Spoke to him on the phone from Sydney Friday morning his time, saw him in the bar in London Saturday night and then spoke to him again from Sydney Monday evening his time, or something like that. Very tiring and for that 72 hour period my average speed was in the region of 330mph! :)
