Hello all.

Have just purchased a GranTurismo MC Shift Sportline.

Loving the car. What a sound! Epic!

Question: I have already set aside some money as there is only 33 percent of clutch life used.
Should I get the clutch done immediately or wait for it to give up?
Take it I only have a few miles/kms to go before the clutch packs it in given its 67percent worn?
Anyone knows what the signs are that the clutch is on its way out?

Any help appreciated.

How many miles? We are getting 40k+ out of a clutch these days. Failure is normally slip or doesn't want to select a certain gear. I think R is the favourite to ignore.

Welcome along. Most will leave the clutch until it actually shows signs of needing doing.

The pecentage worn isnt 100% accurate. Its a guide only.

Whatever the mileage is currently on your car divide it by 2 and that should give you a very rough idea of how many miles you have left before the clutch will need changing.

This is also assuming a similar driving style to the previous owners and no physical failure of clutch or bearings before the friction material wears out.

I believe the general consensus is to just keep driving it till it starts to give you problems.
if you can keep 3-4k to the side as rainy day fund.

Congratulations on your new car, MC cars are epic.

It’s good that you bought it eyes wide open knowing that a clutch may be required at some point.

As others have said, if it’s not giving issues / showing signs of wear such as slipping on hard acceleration from a slow speed in 2nd or not selecting gears correctly, just drive and enjoy it.

Pictures are always welcome, of the car, not you :p

You should be good to 50,000 to 55,000 kms. Gives you plenty of time to build a war chest for when it needs doing. How many Kms are you planning on doing a year ? That will give you an idea of timescale before a change of clutch is needed.
