At the end of the day it's my insurers problem if it happens. If the work is not up to standard then they would have to do it again.
Quite true, BB, but do you want a monkey who's unfamiliar with your car working on it? I recall that some of the previous issues reported were damaged trim and broken pieces of glass everywhere including down the windscreen demister vents from the removal of the old screen. Even though most of these things can eventually be rectified, it's still the hassle factor involved as well.

You must have found a decent fitter, Mark. I've heard some horror stories about Autofarce with the more unusual cars. From memory Loz had windscreen and side window issues with them and ended up having everything done at HR Owen.
True enough Mark. They were pretty insistent that I take it in rather than do it at home and I wasn't going to argue given what people had been saying at Bruntingthorpe. I can't say I wasn't a bit nervous but pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the enormous job I'd expected. I left it for at least a month before getting it replaced.

Mine went at Brunty last year, it took 4 days to fit (once maser sent the right screen) you have to remove all the pillar trim and some other items including some of the dash, it takes 24 hours to dry the seal and overall cost £1953 plus VAT.

Its not an easy job on the GTS so be careful its done right.

My insurance paid me back after getting it done by Gray Paul
