Ah, that’s a bit of a treck to trade exhaust sounds - but if you are heading my way (Hemel Hempstead) happy to meet up.
Good luck finding the perfect sound for you

Must say I had some fun today playing with Scaf. His rear certainly makes some noises when hammered... Now you all know im talking cars right? :D Both our cars sound great, but different. Thanks for meeting up Scaf. :)
Yes good to meet and compare you sports cats to my H, as you say both lovely, just different.
May see you at the Ace sometime

What was the conclusion then, are you both happy with your respective set ups or are you looking to make a change?

I was always happy, it was Ash having a listen, but a I have it say his cat sounds lovely with the sports cats and standard OEM X.

My un resonated H is deeper and louder, particularly with valves open

Yes Sam, as we were discussing at Brooklands yours does sound much more burbly and muscle car'ish whereas the cats (and X in my case) give it a higher pitched, raspier pitch and is particularly screamy at high revs.
Horses for courses but they also sound great with the OEM set up, a beautiful sounding car which has been lost now that the NA cars are becoming a thing of the past

Sam - did sounds a bit naughty in Race.. good thing. Id say im happy with my set up. I could be tempted to see what a H pipe sounds like with my CATS tbh. No rush, but its a thought. Can always move it on if i dont like it. I did that with the X pipe. Its trial and error. Sams has more crackle (which i think it software vs h pipe in my opinion) but my car has more tone which seems to be louder "in car" which is nice.
All good.
