Granturismo Centennial on Pistonheads

The pictures of the Centennial Strad with the carbon bonnet are now online. I noticed that the MC badge is correct but the red inserts are not there.

Have to admit I’m not a huge fan of the exposed carbon bonnet in this colour combo. Looks almost aftermarket.

I have it on my R/R SVR but that car is dark blue so exposed carbon not so apparent (£8k option from new on the SVR, wonder how much it was on the Granturismo?)

I would agree it does seem to suit the darker colours better. Perhaps it might look better in the sun and closer up but not great in the pictures. The Rosso Magma paint is much more appealing on the MC bonnet lines. The option price must have been quite steep as some of the other carbon options available on interior were £2-3k

It was cheaper on the Maser. All the bonnets were carbon. They only charged you if you wanted it painted. Which nearly everybody did, obviously, as the plain carbon bonnet is an eyesore.
Money well spent I’d say (as the owner of a paint manufacturing business!).

The bare carbon bonnets were, I understand, much more carefully made than the painted ones, hence the price increase. @slay's on a black car looks fantastic.

Yes, it doesn't look in the best condition. I don't think the carbon bonnet suits a red car.

It's triple layer so slightly more work but most modern paint shops should be able to handle without issue.

Same, previous owner resprayed front of mine and put PPF on!
