Gransport Skyhook Adjustment

I'm new to the forum so please excuse my lack of knowledge,

I've noticed the Skyhook shock on the gransport is a coilover unit, seems to have a thread for height adjustment. Is this the reason so many gransports sit at all different heights or are people installing lowering springs to their cars, seems like some sit very high and others quite low....

There where a few types of spring from the factory, and a few spec changes in the dampers (some aren't adjustable with the perch)
That said in how the springs mount and the damping curve you basically have two options, lower it a small bit beyond the factory specification for that given shock OR go with aftermarket springs
Lowering to much on stock springs give you zero preload and moves you quite far up the damping curve as your static position is lower on the perch to begin with.

On GS it's manageable on QP you can easily blow a shock by slamming it on stock springs

Ok interesting, thanks for your response. It was out of curiosity as there is a lot of photos of them at different ride heights, this must be why then.

Yes it super common we have the same with cars in the shop, the basically are in to categories high and low.
I'd need to correlate the spec see if there is a pattern, it looks like Spyders and especially US spec cars look higher, 3200GT for example are mostly low just as EU GranSports.

For example 3200GT came in three setups, regular, skyhook and assertocorsa
4200GT has more generations (02-04, 04-07 regular, 05-07 GranSport) and then Spyders, etc
