Say I saw a car and everything was good except it had two tone interior and the insert colour was horrible...

Has anybody had it retrimmed and was it an easy or cost effective job if factored into the purchase price?

Cheers

A good trimmer will be able to do this...Price wise I would imagine £700 to 1k..but thats a guess....Was it just the seats or the dash board as well.....What colour was it.

Some GranSports have some weird technical fabric as the two tone variant, it would be this I;d be looking to replace, I was thinking alcantara myself, have it in the beemer, had it in a previous audi, warmer and more grippy than leather and subjectively I feel it gives a bit more character to the interior. i'd cover all that fecking horrible carbon fibre with it too :)

Your cheapest and probably best route is to have the seats recolonised in the colour of your choice, it costs about £200 for all the seats, but I am sure the inset panels in the doors and wings would be included.

Fan of CF then - lol

Then a trimmer it is, given not just a colour change. I know of a great outfit in Notts one of our Bentley/Rolls servicing partners who do their in house re-trimming, could give you details if you so wish .. or somebody recommended these on Club Scud not so long back -

Thing is Ghosty to do the job right you would have to change the dash as well as that has the tech cloth as well....

I thought about this earlier on in the year - I saw a couple of posssibles what were well priced etc, but they had slightly garish interiors. For me, I decided it was too much of a job and would be prohibitively expensive to do it right, to the level that you'd do the car justice. The dash would be a pain, but so too would the backs of the seats.

IIRC some cars wihch have turquise tech cloth had the same coloured backs of the seat, which are not leather. I dont know if these could be repsrayed/fabricated in another material to match the retrim. Either way, for me I decided it was easier to learn to love the colour or find another car.
