Gransport handbrake

I made a big mistake. The Maserati was not used for about a month and then a couple of weeks ago I had to go to Portsmouth for a wedding. There was an annoying squeaking noise at low speeds and crawling forward in traffic which I am sure was a result of having left my handbrake on for so long. In other words the handbrake was sticking. The net result is that it is now free and the sqeaking has gone, but when I engage the handbrake now it pulls up into almost a vertical position. I am wondering what damage I could have done and what cost will be involved in rectifying it.

I believe the genuine bits are about £12o plus probably a couple of hours labour to do.
I know Belfast brakes reline the shoes for us at about £35 delivered not a hard job lots of the guys on here have done them.
May be use an independant.

Hi Peter....when mine had that problem, more damage was done than I thought, had to replace one or two bits and bobs.....apart from shoes...a decent indie should do it just as well for 1/3 price!
