There is something very uplifting about having a car delivered via covered transport.

The GC MC will feel like such a big heavy beast if you've got used to driving the F430 LOL. TBH though, I think that a lot of the merits of the GC MC become more apparent over a longer period of time e.g. additional seats (which hold 2 adults, not just 2 small kids as per Ferrari California, Porsche 996/997, Aston Martin DB9/DBS, Jaguar XK/XKR), and greater everyday usage. As I said in my previous post, the GC MC is the most 'complete' car I've had the experience of driving/owning. The other merits e.g. greater exclusivity etc. are obviously more instantly noticeable. Will be good to get your thoughts on the F430, so keep us posted. P.S. Those rims look great on the F430!Forgot to say thanks your post Tilum, very informative and interesting.
Will post back as I get on with the 430, will try and get a drive in GC MC at some point to see what I think.
I agree, the 599 does look tempting Andy. Although for such a large car (typically used as a grand tourer), I can't help but feel it should have been a 2+2 (seater). Furthermore, having seen the 599 GTO, I'm not sure I could settle for a regular 599 GTB knowing that the GTO looks sooooooo much better (IMHO ofc LOL).599 prices are falling. Still out of my budget but there are a few Fezzas becoming more affordable as the newer models hit the secondhand market. Happily my GTS still does all I need and more than a 599 ever could, and apparently in more comfort, too. But the hankering persists, d@mmit.

Danno - stop taunting me with your 599!
Opps sorry
Hi Danno, welcome to the forum.Am fortunate to have both the 599 HGTE and the gran cabrio MC sport ...Very different cars love them both
Just stunning Danno......Dark grey and cream just looks lovelyPic of the Gran cabrioView attachment 20999
Hi yes is Granito and honest was not making it up the car has many additions and clearly marked as an MC sportHi Danno, welcome to the forum.
Congrats on your recent purchase. From the looks of some of the photos on here, your GranCabrio Sport looks stunning. Is it in 'Grigio Granito' (dark metallic grey)? Or is it in 'Nero Carbonio' (metallic black), but just looks lighter due to the bright sunlight in the pics?
FWIW and FYI, your car is a 'GranCabrio Sport' (pre-facelift version), as Maserati don't actually make a 'GranCabrio MC Sport'.
I remember when I buying my first ever Maserati. My ideal spec GranTurismo was Grigio Granito body colour, with cream interior. So your GC Sport is pretty much my ideal spec I would have chosen, albeit yours is a convertible. N.B. Maserati didn't produce the GranCabrio when I was looking at my first GT. Would love to see it in real life at a future meet, as it looks awesome
As for your 599, you are a lucky fella LOL. And it's interesting to hear from someone that has both. The 599 does look great, and the design certainly seems to be ageing well (in the looks department), which can't be said of some modern cars!
Keep us posted on how you find your new toy to live with, drive, etc. As a '599 vs. GC Sport' will make for an interesting comparison, because, as you say, they are both very different cars, but still great in their own way.
Cheers,
T
I have seen Auto's described as Auto MC shift....Certainly on the Sports.....SO is the sport Auto different to the normal Auto.......I know I've said before but bloody stunning Danno
Danno, you're doing it again! I can clearly see in the wing mirror the front of your 599 winking at me from your garage. This subliminal selling has got to stop!
