German Engineering

As well as all my Italian stuff I have a taste for other oddities.

My only German car is a W8 Passat Estate which for those who don't know has a 4.0litre W8 Engine & 4WD (think half a Veyron without turbos). It looks like a normal Passat but with 300BHP (it's been chipped) it surprises a lot of stuff.

Due to having too many cars the W8 has been left parked in the corner of the drive since it went to Le Mans back in June and has been looking rather sorry for itself. So given winter is coming and I have a spare set of wheels with winter tyres for it I decided to wash it and stick it through an MOT.

Would you believe it, passed first time without evening an advisory, non of my Italians would have done that. Already for winter driving just now need it to snow as with the winter tyres and 4 wheel drive it will get through most road conditions.
