I am a little confused about which models have the ZF auto box and the automated manual (proper clutch). Do all models with stick in the middle have the ZF box?

Also when I was shopping for my 4.7 S I noticed that some of them had the smaller paddle shifters and others have the F1 style ones - Is there any reason for this or were the larger ones just an optional extra?

Yes, later models and option on earlier ones.

My 2010 MCShift has the optional carbon shifters but standard spec was full length rather than short.
