Garage Floor

Been spending some time doing up my garage whilst my car is away these past few weeks.

I have painted a couple of garage floors in the past and even taking extra care with sealer and prep, it still seems to come off in the end.
Tried something different this time and I'm really pleased with the results so far!.

You will still have to fix the bumps, but rubber matting may be an option. I purchased 3 x 1.8M by 6M rolls from a seller on Ebay. 4mm thick.
Bonded to the floor with glue. Easy enough to fit in a day. Cost £400.

Have you also lined the inside of your garage roof? Contemplating this also, with a loft hatch installed for access.

and used this stuff to stick it down! Edges are rock solid now but its only been down a couple of weeks so we will see.

My garage already had a plasterboard roof installed. Its part of the house and has a room above it so no loft space above.

I went with resin and was disappointed. It’s incredibly slippy and the finish is average. Perhaps my fault or maybe my expectations were too high?
looks good from a distance, I think I’ll look at tiles next and treat it as an expensive undercoat.

Cheers, thanks for that. How do you find the coin top surface? Would imagine its a nightmare for moving say a jack or anything around on.

Seems OK so far. My tool cabinet and chair are on wheels and they move around fine. You can feel bumps but as the rubber is pretty soft its not harsh enough to restrict movement.

Has anyone any experience with interlocking PVC tiles?
These could be installed directly over a self levelling screed that would find and fill in the imperfections so a fairly simple DIY project.
I've seen a 12mm thick system on the interweb for less than £700 for a double garage including threshold ramps.

I have exactly the same floor as the photo - black and grey checked PVC tiles... Very happy - a bunch of us in the neighbourhood all went for the same and no issues so far. Easy to lay and made the garage feel warmer (or maybe my mind paying tricks). Mine are 14mm thick - cost £700 to do a 6x7m double
