Great idea - what treatment do you recommend?

There are many to choose from and everyone has a preference.
Give the rear a good inspection too looking at your rusty springs.

Yeah they don't look great. Is that a fairly straight forward job?

I brought mine round to a tyre fitters who had a proper spring compressor, charged me £10 to change the pair. You don't want to mess with the little clamps and risk it slipping.
Here are the torque figures I was given that you'll need when it comes to reassembly.

Agree… there’s a reason why spring replacement kits are sometimes known as widowmakers….
