Has anyone removed the Maserati 3200 left front shock absorber? How did it do it?
I've removed the front shock absorbers on my 4200 and I think that the 3200 is the same. The 4 nuts at the top are relatively easy to get at. The lower part is slightly more difficult. You have to get the bottom wishbone out of the way, so anti roll bar off which is easy and bottom wishbone off . That's slightly more difficult but you may be able to just pivot the wishbone out of the way if you're lucky. I think that's right but I'm sure someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong.

Yep. I’ve done it on a 3200. It is as Atreyu says and you do have to remove the wishbone it won’t pivot far enough out of the way to get the shock out. The book also says to note the orientation of the top mount so it goes back the same way. I couldn’t see why but that’s what it says.

Hi you don’t need to take the wishbone off you just need to undo the two nuts holding the top ball joint onto the top wishbone and this then enables you to swing the hub out of the way to withdraw the shocker absorber and spring. Take care to note the number of shims behind the ball joint and also the position of any washers that have been fitted either side of the bottom shock absorber bush.

Rex might be right, I can’t be sure, I just really struggled to get the shock out at first and had to undo more to get clearance.
