Something else I do that nobody has mentioned is keep the heater off so as not to draw any heat off the engine while it's warming up. I've never understood why people put the heater on full whack to demist when the engine is cold as it's more efficient to keep it within the engine bay until necessary. Unfortunately the problem with the Maserati is visibility isn't the best, so it is a bit of a balancing act between setting off and not pranging the car on my boundary wall.
