That face lift 4200 at just under 20k looks a decent car when most are heading above 20k.

My car is now sold.

I ended up selling to the trade so expect to see it up for sale again very soon. I would have liked to sell it privately to another enthusiast but I realise it is very difficult to sell a higher value car privately, but I did sell it for quite a bit more than I was offered at trade in so onwards & upwards.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement & advise & good talking with you last week Dicky

News on the replacement to hopefully follow in the near future, it's going to be a long few weeks!

Well done on the sale. If you had been able to send me a decent pic of the bonnet before I travelled 100 miles to see it I was very interested and would have very likely bought it for your asking price but glad it sold and all the best for your next car.

should of just bought it, these cars stone chip very easy, you need to allow for front bumper and bonnet respraying if you want a mint car

I wasn't local and really wanted to see a decent photo before travelling a long way and wasting both my time and the sellers if the chip was bigger than I thought. In my view I try to avoid paintwork if possible as I've seen too many mismatches on darker cars between 'new' and 'old' even when quite reputable bodyshops do the work.

mines been resprayed twice, and its still got stone chips on the bumper and bonnet, this car was probably the most mint you could of found, you have really missed out :(

It looked a great car with all the work done but there are a few around and I am in no rush anyway as it would only be garaged until Spring as I have two other cars to use over winter. Anyway, I'm glad the seller got a price he was happy with. I'm sure I'll find something soon..
