Flat Battery? (humble pie!)

If you are wrong, then I am too
I go and check my Lidl special, betting with myself whether the green (fully charged) light will be on.
I try to get it fully charged during the day when I am about rather than overnight when I am not about
The ritual is getting ridiculous, but I am in love (not with the Lidl special)

LOL

I actually went into Lidl on the way back from Autofficina on the off chance that they had one of their chargers still available (they didn't).

I think that I'll stick to Amazon Prime in future :-/

Update II (if ANYONE is still alive out there......)

The CTEK arrived yesterday and when plugged in (which was dead simple - I bought the 12v connector as well) showed 4 lights (READY TO USE) after about 20 mins, and then had reached 7 lights (FULLY CHARGED) by the time that I went to bed.

Is it wrong to feel so excited about each light coming on and continually going into the garage to check? :-/

Update Part 37

OK, so I could do with some advice here.

I don't use my car very much as I have previously mentioned, and have it religiously plugged into the CTEK at all times (not when I am driving it though, obviously!). When I come back from using the car and plug the CTEK back in, I have noticed that I only get 2 or 3 lights, and then 4 after say 30 mins, before it taking a few hours to get back up to 7 lights (fully charged)

Is that normal behaviour? The runs in the car are only short (10 to 15 mins then a break, then another 10 to 15 mins home again, with between an hour and 6 hours break in between)

Thanks for any advice

Normal compared to what my 4200 did, yes. Don't forget it does some diagnostics / analytics before it starts charging, and it's probably not going to charge at full tilt.

If you really want to get confused, get a comfort indicator. It will be red nearly all the time (or at least mine was) even with a brand new battery....

I use the ctek MXS 0.8, mine takes about 8 hours to get to back to normal, checked my manual and this is fine.

Probably normal (I don't use Ctek conditioners mind you).

Short runs are not good for a car for many reasons, including keeping the battery charged up.
