Fan resistor changed

Well that wasn't too bad.
Thanks to Klive for his jack. (I'm sure we'll be in the same country again some time this year so I can get it back to you)
I *might* have managed it from the top, but it would have been a pig.

Thing is, I know the old one was totally shot, but I can't tell any difference. Although I didn't get it up to full temp yet, the fans were still coming on full for the aircon.

Matt, you said something about not mixing the wires? I didn't but of course there's no reasons someone else didn't before me. Why does it matter, though? If the thing is just a resistor?

Anyway, what *should* I be experiencing?

When the fans come on initially you wouldn't hear them. They don't come on full blast until its hot hot hot.

Yeah ull have 3? Settings, very quiet and quite slow , then louder and slightly faster then full on but should onlybe when shes full temp and stationery or going some speed.

Hmm. Engine not up to temp (about 65 ish) and they came on full tilt when stationary. Was this cos of the aircon, or it's not fixed?
