F1 Gearbox (stradale + GT): oil change, how often and both oils?

Afternoon Gentlemen,

I have a doubt, and so does my main dealer who is servicing my car. It has done 10K miles (16K Kms) and has not yet had its F1 gearbox fluid changed. It is a 2013, stradale, euro spec.

How often should this be changed?
Should the change involve both F1 system oil and Gearbox/diff oil? Or Just the Gearbox/Diff oil?

I have attached my service schedule page, which does not clarify the second question.

wow 92 looks and no answer.. guess I needed to google harder ;)

I found this, same box. So: every 3 years its a good idea to change the F1 fluid.

I just did mine, it was black, filter was blocked with silicone type gunk and it took 3 litres of comma oil, I reckon it's never been done in 7 years. Car changes gear much smoother now.

Keano! Thanks so much for that Academy manual, I'll nerd through every fact. Beer owed!

Phil: are you talking about the F1 system oil? Where is that filter? Do you remember how many liters went in to flush and fill?

My local MD has been great in this first service, and cut me quite a few breaks where he can price wise, but spares here are STUPID expensive. An air filter 150 quid. The F1 Oil FIAT TUTELA CS SPEED at 90 quid a liter (that's one reason I did not change it yet).

3.2 Litres of Comma SX75W90, it was the Gearbox oil as I ripped my cooler off accidentally and all the oil was lost. The filter is in a housing on the side of the box itself. The picture shows how to access it.

The filler is above the filter.

The gearbox oil is 75W90 GL5 fully synthetic but make sure you get an oil designed for transaxles otherwise you may run into problems with your LSD plates. Pull the little mesh filter out and clean it whilst you're there.

The F1 fluid is Tutela Petronas CS speed and costs about £10 a litre over here. To do a proper flush you need an SD3 but if you're doing this yourself then suck out the old fluid from the reservoir and then put in new fluid. Do this annually and you'll slowly refresh the fluid in the system.

That's some serious money for parts. Can you not import parts and oils in. Gearbox and filter clean I do every year and use Motul gear 300. Hydraulic oil every 3 year's.

Phil, sorry to labour the point, but is your finger showing the filter for the gearbox oil or the F1 system oil? Are they both cleanable screens?
