Season 2 complete and it was very good well worth a watch for anyone with any interest in Motorsport - Rockstars or W4nkers take your pick but boy are there some big egos and not just the drivers

Bernie Ecclestone has said that F1 is in, and needs to remain in, the Entertainment business.

Netflix re-imagines F1 and takes it back to where Bernie wants it to be, it's an entertainment show.

The more it becomes about complex rules, the less overtaking there is... the less entertaining it is - and it's not meeting its brief.

Drive to Survive has actually got me back into F1.

In the days of Bernie any footage of actual racing was extremely controlled and would never have been allowed on Netflix. It is obvious that the new management understand the concept of share a bit to entice people to watch more and Drive To Survive is a perfect tools for this. It also shows more of what goes on in the background which helps viewers understand that the actual race is a small part of the overall venture.

He was suffocating the sport by keeping any footage off social media or YouTube. Drivers were not allowed to post various things to their social media nor were people allowed to upload any thing from their own visits to a race

Bernie wanted F1 to be a premium product - while we have entered an age of fast and free communication Bernie was resisting change which was very much to the detriment of the sport as new (young) fans were not easily interested

Well done to Liberty Media for opening the doors

It's a well made program, with a good level of humour & personal perception from the players. I was impressed by the way they handled the Anthoine Hubert crash, the look on the drivers faces told you all you needed to know without any sensational footage, respectful and well done.

Guenther Steiner is a funny guy, explicit almost to the point of embarrassment but takes the p155 like a good one, his interaction with toto Wolff was classic.

Agree Andy.....Anthoine crash was handled very well.....Just had to look at Lewis's face when it happened on the screen when he was being interviewed to see the emotion and how they feel about each other...…….

I liked Steiner more before the Netflix series

While he is humorous he creates a hostile work envinronment by doing things like demanding a faster car from his race engineer or he is fired by the next race. It is not constructive at all I highly doubt the likes of Totto or Lauda at Mercedes behaved like this when things were not going their way. Add that onto a pair of idiot drivers (particularly K.Mag) I don't blame Gene Haas for putting down his ultimatum of improvements in 2020 or Haas is out of F1

I can see no reason why Haas persist with either of their drivers, they have both proven to be flakey regardless of the performance of the car. There are plenty of better drivers out there that could be snapped up and be grateful for the chance.
