As you found out, they should be easily movable by hand. The parts are generic and can be cut out and replaced by a decent fabricator. Before you fit them - check they aren't rattling as it'd be disappointing to fit them to find out...

Having just been in mine for first time since the solenoid was replaced this week I can confirm the sport / non-sport is working perfectly

Massive change in pitch between the two and it operates very quickly

What's disappointing is i asked Maserati to look at this last service, when I dropped it off I said look at exhaust valves, if the solenoid is cheap enough just replace it. Exact reply was nothing's cheap on these cars, didn't even look into it, low and behold it was buttons, shame it took my indie to sorry but hey ho

So often the way I find. Currently looking at end of the month to get my exhaust sorted, but mostly because I have a trip to the US in the way :(
