EURO 3 to EURO 4 between 2005-2006

So this is a London T-charge/ULEZ issue. My 55 plate QPV its apparently Euro 3 (amazes me as my 04 plate Murcielago is Euro 4); I checked a few 2006 sport GT's and they are Euro 4. Apart from the different X-pipe (sport GT one is unsilenced) I can't see any physical differences in the engine/exhaust sections between the two cars- is it only a software issue? I'd like to get my QPV to Euro 4 if possible.. (doesn't bother me with the t-charge, but in 2021 when the ULEZ comes into effect, there is no resident discount for this).

If you changed the engine to a later model, then the emissions for the later engine are used. I was basing it on this, just perhaps by changing the computer/programming as I believe the cats (and heads) are the same between 05 and 06.

hmm perhaps a good reason to get a 4.7 and dry sump it.. LOL

That's not allowed any longer as any major mods will be picked up at the MOT test and reported on the system as non EU compliant!
