V8 JVE.jpgHi. Thought I'd ask for some advise. Maybe silly and obvious, but I will risk some "it's been covered on here before" comments. I can find anything though.

The engine bay is usually un-finished and in a slightly greyish light colour to the car? I have a blue sophisticato and the bay is lighter grey type colour in the centre strut area etc. Looks like factory process where the engine bay doesn't get full final paint colour & treatment.

Also above the licence plate behind the grill there is a small gap where you can see this grey finish. It has a couple of RED marking that looks like someone has "snagged" something on the BIW process and then just left it visible. It hard to see unless you are at the right angle - but obviously being quite anal with a new car thought id ask because it looks like it would be difficult to remove these marking. I am guessing it must be a factory snag as the car has never had any work done on it since new less than 2 years ago.
Bit odd, but sure someone else out there may have similar observation from past. Doubt I am the only one..? I have attached a photo. The Yellow circle has the offending red marks shown..!

Cheers guys.

If you can get a good colour match red, you can paint matching ones the other side to satisfy any OCD tendencies!

No never seen them myself except on suspension parts.
