Hoping someone can help.

2007 Maserati quattroporte sport GT

I was driving it two days ago and every time I stepped on gas the battery light came on. Later that night after being out at dinner, the car was completely dead. Jumped it, started up no problem then about 3 minutes later began running terrible! Surging, all lights blinking, right front headlight turned off, stepping slightly on gas pedal didn't even make engine rev. The battery was replaced 3 days ago cause while driving it upon acceleration the battery light came on. I tried leaving off negative overnight and still same thing, battery is fully charged. Any help or ideas before I tow it to dealership would be great full!!! Thanks!

Hey thanks Andy! Yes I have triple checked everything. I pulled everything off and still dead. Battery full charge, my bro is coming over with an obd monitor so I guess I will see what it says. I am guessing maybe alternator? Haven't tested it yet.

Bottom fuse in the box says 20 is blown, know what it goes to? Can I replace it with anything, rather another fuse from like autozone? 20 amp in the 23 port. I can put a pic up tom if this forum Allows pix.

I wouldn't start pulling other fuses to replace it, just buy a new fuse

It'll tell you in the manual what each fuse is for , if you don't have a manual they're available with a Google

There's a few fuse boxes around the car so make sure you're identifying the correct one

Battery light coming on under acceleration usually mean either the alternator/rectifier or regulator is gone.

Your symptoms point to a bad alternator causing the battery not charging therefore killing the battery.
That's why it works when you jump it and after a while when the residual charge of the battery is gone the system voltage is too low for the electronics to operate properly.

You will need to fully charge your battery externally and then drive it to the dealer to repair or replace the alternator.

You will only be able to make a short drive (say 30km) to be on the safe side.

The only thing missing in your symptoms is the battery light coming on with the new battery but with Italian electrics anything is possible.

I just read your post again and see you also had a battery light with the new battery.
99% chance it's the alternator or related components.

It's a relatively cheap fix if you take it to a good indy because alternators are rebuilt instead of being replaced with new ones.

Out of curiosity, did you replace the battery yourself or was it a workshop/dealer?

I ask because decent workshops will always test the charging circuit prior to replacing batteries.

Will the car running a volt meter should read between 12 and 14 volts. If you have less than 12 it not charging correctly. Try an external volt meter to be sure.

When running it must be on 14v at the battery terminals.
12 or 13v indicate a bad charging system.

That's how charging testers measure the charging circuit
