Hi

I am looking into drilled pedals for the 3200, like the AC ones.
From Maserati they are stupid money, so i started looking around
and came across the below:

They look very very similair to the AC ones which are below:

The throttle pedal looks marginally shorter. The Hill Engineering pedals are £65 which appears great value.
What do we think? Close enough? Be good to measure both I suppose.

Cheers

Don't know about the pedals Lee, as I have not had a set...but Hill Engineering have a great reputation for some really good quality products.

As another option, there is ultimatepedals.com
I bought a full set (gas, brake, footrest) with the Maserati trident engraved into the footrest and brake.
Total cost was 136.00 pounds ($214cad).
I'll take a picture and post it in a few minutes.

Check my older posts, sure I posted dimensions of mine in the past for someone thinking of doing this.

Here are the options for the 4200...

FYI....I painted the background black on the brake pedal (they don't do it). I thought about doing the footrest rest too, but I kind of like the contrast.

Oh I *like* those. What's the fitting process?
Are they an American outifit? Given that I'm traveling to CA (probably) quite a lot over the next few months, I could bring some back....

Catman....
The fitting process is very simple. Ultimate pedals have the exact dimensions and make each set accord to how the customer wants them (with or without a logo/shiny/smooth/with inserts/without etc). There are so many options so you can get whatever you want pretty much.
Fitting them:
You remove the rubber pieces on the existing pedals, then drill 2 holes into the brake and gas pedals (and clutch if you have a MT), then screw them on. (They include the stainless screws with the order).
The nice thing is if you want to revert back to the rubber pads, just remove the new ones and slip the rubber back on.

Oh and they are located in Palm Beach, Florida. But they do ship world wide.

Im not sure about all this alloy pedal stuff....whats wrong with the standard rubber covering?

Ive also dumped the footrest in my manual 3200GT, as there's no room for my left foot!

Personally I find the alloy grips my foot better, particularly if the shoe is wet. But each to their own.

Lee, for genuine Maserati items, have a look at the Vintage pedal kit. Brake and Clutch pedal part number is 212187 - cost is now about £150 per pedal. The throttle pedal is similar to a Ferrari 550, albeit that it is somewhat shorter but exact same width cost is about £30 compared to the Maserati AC pedal at £350.

I bought a set from Ultimate pedals when I was in Florida and love them. Purely aesthetic I don't notice any difference in feel Just the looks.

Nick, I noticed that the loud pedal does not have a smooth surface. The OEM version is smooth and my former F355 spider had a smooth pedal as well. How does it turn out in practice, on driving the car?

Hi Danny,

I don't notice any difference in the feel of the pedal, well not through my normal shoes. My be if I was wearing racing boots I would, but I don't !.
The standard 4200 are a grippy rubber so I cant see there's any difference between the grip on them other than possibly more.
Unless its done for heel/toeing,not sure why. But as I have a CC and my old F355 Spider was also an F1 it's just about the look to me.
