They'll give you at least £20000 off a new GT or GC and even more off a QP. Just need to have the cash to start off with. All good news for most of us as the second hand ones are coming down nicely. I reckon November will see £35k GT 4.2 with about 40k miles. Getting a lot closer for me than they looked a year or so ago. Exciting times.......

still no GT under 50k on Autotrader this week, good news is that I have just realised a GT will fit in my garage...

I'm not just banding it about, I know people who've done it. I have exact details of specific cars at certain dealerships. It is possible.

Excellent DG....it just isn't discussed much, maybe because there are only a few bought from new Maserati owners on the forum....and its sorta rude to ask outright!

Thanks for that.

Remember being offered a GTS at the full list price of a GT only 3 months after they were released...OK car was already in the show room but that was without even asking!

Expensive cars new whatever the discount but they seem to have moved up a leap quality wise over the 4200.

When I visited the factory, it was always emphasized that all cars were built to order and only a few as test vehicles etc..........

Indeed. That's why you can go into a Maserati dealer and pick up a new car without waiting.....

Thing is these cars sell in such low volumes (600 pa IIRC in the UK) that once all dealers have a few showroom and demo cars then that's a big percentage of annual sales.

Could it be that a late cancellation results in the car being delivered to the dealer but the buyer losing their deposit. The dealer then sells the car at rrp minus the cash already paid by the person who initially ordered the car?
