dipstick issue

I have a 2005 Quattroporte 4.2 with duoselect and the dipstick is wedged between the dipstick tube and the surrounding round housing and will not pull out . Any ideas ?

I assume it’s not been put down the central tube but in the out ring of the tube?

It sounds like you will have to:

1. Pull it hard and risk breaking it
2. Remove the tank and the bottom flange and either pull it through or help it up by levering. The tank does come out fairly easily.

You may be able to take the flange off with it in situ, pulling it down and through and having to cut the top bit off…being careful not to drop metal scurf into the tank.

You may be able to take the flange off with it in situ, pulling it down and through and having to cut the top bit off....

That takes me back to when I was a contractor infiltrating the Southern Lands..........Usually had to have the top bit seen to the day after......
