Detailing - gotcha's / things to ask about

I had a nice chat today with Andrew from Belissimoto (www.bellissimoto.co.uk) down in Bermondsey, he's going to be venting his OCD on my un-cared for little Spyder next week. We discussed waxes, getting some of the little door-dings massaged out of the panels, cleaning & protecting the roof, maybe repairing a scrape on the rear bumper from a stone I reversed into. There is a bit of work to do on the drivers seat leather, but probably save that for another day as we only have two days this time round.

Any thoughts on other areas I should ask about or make sure he covers?

He seems to know his stuff and, as he admits, is a bit OCD which can only be a good thing in his line of work. He has a brand new (2-month old) workshop/studio that was cleaner than my kitchen at some times. I drove in, and felt bad dripping water onto the floor it was that spotless...

I'll try to remember to take some photos when I drop her off & pick her up.

Here are some I took in the studio, as you can see, it's very lustrous, but with silver it doesn't seem as obvious as a darker colour when it's waxed.

The last one shows the studio, s you can see, it's clean!

: ) thanks, I'm happy with it. The protection of the wax is what I think was most important, I saw beading like I never saw before as it rained a few days later. Didn't get a photo of that I'm afraid!

Impressive car AND studio. Where do you hide the clutter? Everyone has clutter dont they?

That's the studio of the detailing company, they only moved in 2 months ago, and the owner is pretty much OCD about keeping it clean and clutter free, which is perfect for his occupation!

Now, if I had a space like that, it would be a little bit more...messy.

Amazing... I would love to find someone/where like that near to me (Wilstshire). I enjoy keeping the car looking clean but would like to take it to be papered and brought up to pristine condition.
