denso spark plugs

Not sure if anyone else has heard this but i asked Bill McGraths to put some Denso plugs in my Gransport engine during its service and was told that these plugs are the wrong temperature for this engine and might foul up, anyone else heard this ?

No never heard that before and ive used them for over 2 years now , if you have the Denso iridium IU 24 they are the right plugs

I'D ask Bill Mcgraths to double check , They ARE the plugs that Denso themselves recommend for the Maserati coupes , and are widely used in the US and Europe , most on Maserati life use them and are supplied by Eurospares and Formular Dynamics

All due respect to Bill Mcgraths there knowledge is unsurpassed on classic and earlier models of Maserati , but they have only recently been servicing 4200 coupes for the last year or two and possibly havent come across the use of them before , as they are not specified in the hand/service book , i think ngk and bosch are specified , but all feed back on the denso iridium has been better than positive ,

Not a 100% sure , but i remember checking with Denso UK quite a while ago before i bought my first set for the 4200 , i gave them the NGK specified plug ref and they came up with their own equiverlant , on checking with opie oils Denso supplier and Formula dynamics the rating was the quoted Maserati rating
