Following from m1980k, I will be in Dartmoor next week, any suggestions for driving routes?

Ashburton to Tavistock - the first bit, Ashburton to Two Bridges, is very narrow and twisty and full of Nissan Micras towing caravans. Two Bridges to Tavistock opens up a bit, with nice swoopy roads and pleasant views (although 40 limit and watch out for sheep).
Okehampton (Whiddon Down) to Bovey Tracey via Moretonhampstead also narrow with quite a lot of single track where you have to play 'chicken' to get to the next passing place.
Okehampton to Bude is nice.

The Dartmoor Inn highly recommended for the food, especially Sunday Lunch.
Also Brookside Café & Restaurant in Bovey Tracey - very good sandwiches, chips and cakes.

Many thanks for the detailed reply. I am staying near Bovey Tracey so will certainly try to give the Brookside Cafe a visit.
