Drove the car home tonight from petrol station i noticed it the other day when warmed up theres a clicking cracking noise almost like maracas lol once the engine is off sounds like the exhaust cooling or heat shield contracting is this normal on these cars?

Maybe above average seems like the centre of the car more, i checked 2 minutes later was still going slowly and after 10 totally gone so its definitely heat related.

Sounds that way. My brakes make very loud pinging noises when they're cooling. Try now to use them much.

I could hear a squeak in mine on Sunday which only occurred over bumps and I was thinking suspension bush or something. When I refuelled ( seem to be doing that often) on closing the filler hatch I encountered the same noise so going to try a little oil on the hinge or closing mechanism.

Well not much due to the rear end being hit so been driving the another mostly. It gets more looks than the aston and is slightly more modern but the handling is like a barge compared to the vantage and the M3 i had, course there different cars so like comparing a SUV to a MX5 but been so used to lower down track style cars feels like I'm in a bus.

Ah, yes, I forgot about them bike up your chuff. Hope you can get it sorted fast.

I can imagine how different it is from more handling-oriented cars. The GTS hustles along pretty well when you want it to but the tyres and brakes will be screaming for mercy. If I wanted a car for track-days and hooning there a plenty of better candidates than a 1950kg four-seat grand-tourer.

Now, if it's grand touring with charisma and beautiful tunes and charm and achingly gorgeous looks then I can't think what does it better than a Maserati.

Yes basically its a 6 series style car the looks aren't though so you are fooled, not that i didn't know just got so used to other types, i haven't had a real chance to bond yet due to the smash and feeling bad driving a smashed up Maserati lol.

Spacers are ordered with Noor really want some springs but its so low at the front id struggle to drive anywhere.

I think you'll be surprised at the extent to which the spacers eradicate the apparent height. Don't get me wrong, the gap's still there when look at it dead on, but from the three-quarter views the wider stance goes a long way to improving the looks (and without splashing a grand on groovy FD springs).

By the way, I'm still bonding with mine after three years. Never cease to delight in it.

That'll look terrific, Christian. I *think* morebeanz has 22mm on his white GTS. As a point of comparisson I'm on 18mm rear and 15mm front. The front could easily go another few mm but I wanted a slightly tighter turn-in so went a smidge narrower than the back.

mine makes all sorts of noises including pinging brakes when hot ,shaky merraca s when cold, and explosions out the back(my personal favorite ) when suddenly unloading the throttle after changing gear . i think they make noises in general these cars . Just drive it . if anything falls off screw it back on again ;P

Every car I have owned makes metallic cracking noises after a spirited run, from the cooling down exhaust.
If you have never heard it before, you haven't been trying hard enough!

That's the sound of your bank card crying as it knows its about to pay for fuel again. My wallet starts to cry every time I pick up the key ;)
