Coupe prices - what's happening?

This one on PH auctions has a few cosmetic issues but looks good overall I'd say. I'm interested to see the price it goes for - 30 mins out and it's £3.4k!

Ouch!

I bought the cheapest in the U.K. in 2019 (£6.2k) - wonder if a cheeky offer might see you buying this one for close to that?!
Cheapest Coupe I've seen recently in France was a really rough on German registration with clutch /gearbox issues for €10,000.

The reserve can't have been much higher than that - CCs now start at £8.5k on AT and going downwards.
Argento Lunar blue and darker rear lights may not be to everyone's taste, but someone will be getting a bargain for what looks like a clean car.

Celebrate the opportunity to get into a V8 thoroughbred Italian sports car for under £10k.

You could also make a ace track car for lots less if you don't mind the miles.

with the way things are looking i will be storing the GT not selling it in springtime, I would like a change and know what i want but I am not going to give it away for stupidly cheap money. Just the way things are at the moment across the board but especially anything with a "biggish engine" it seems.

I'm thinking that quite often and also wishing I'd kept half of what I've had too.
But you would miss out on all that came after. For example if I'd kept my Espada, in the tired state it was in it would be worth maybe what the 348 and Assetto Corsa are worth, but I would have missed the ownership and friendships made with everything in-between. I have been lucky enough to have not lost anything on the purchase price of every classic or niche car I have bought, with the exception of a 3.0 GTV but that was because it was still a relatively new car.

True I've been very lucky indeed and better to have loved than not at all I think is the phrase.
Always on the lookout and more to come hopefully :)

Inflation / higher interest rates won’t be helping either.

I think these cars are now almost too cheap which makes folk assume they are badly built or hugely unreliable. Compare to a 911 of the same age, or Aston etc and they are utter bargains, but less desirable.

I think this price cut will cull a few of the worse ones, which will become parts cars, then prices will firm up in a decade or so. Folk like me with higher mileage cars won’t see much of that, but that’s par for the course. I own it to enjoy it anyway.

So probably best to hold on to them indeed...
Oddly, on the continent, prices seem to be firming up, if my recent checks on autoscout24 are giving a good indication... (was looking at gransport and gransport spyder specifically)
