Comfortable driver height in 3200/Coupe?

Thanks for all the replies - you've all been really helpful. I'm confident more than ever that I want a 3200GT or Coupe - each seem to have pros and cons to me and can't make up my mind. I'll just have to wait and see what turns up.

I'll hang out around the forum to educate myself on the cars and research them. Now I just need to wait for the right car to turn up!

If anyone has one that they don't mind me looking at, I'd really appreciate the opportunity. I think that it's always best to have seen as many in the flesh as you can, but I haven't seen one at all for ages. I'm in Shropshire.

Hey Broken!
Biggest difference with the manual 32's and 42's is the way the engines perform in haste. The 32's are more 'mad man' turbos compared to the more predictable N/A 42. Both roughly the same power. I'm in Chester with a facelift 42 manual if you ever wanted to come over. But I would suggest having a go in a 32 manual also and then choose.

Thanks VB - I'm a fan of both the turbo rush and the NA screamer so that doesn't decide things for me. I'm edging towards a 42 because they do seem to be more straightforward to own and they're a bit newer but if the right 3200 came up at the right price, that would also make me very happy. Right car and right price will be my decider :)

I would really appreciate the opportunity to see your car in the flesh, just to have a look around. That could be really helpful. I'll message you outside the thread to organise something.

Being a short arsed 5.7, I had no problems driving my old 3200 manual as the seats and steering column are infinitely adjustable.
What I did suffer from on long trips was shoulder fatigue from changing gear, not because of the heavy "rock crusher" Getrag gearbox but because I'd slowly turned into a wimp!

Bet you could still show the young guns a thing or two mate ;)
I gave my 30 year old lad a ride in his MK1 Golf Gti 16 valve when I was last in the UK and he knows the old man still has it :)

I'm only 5'9" and need the seat fully back, but I prefer it raised to almost the top of its reach... accelerator give me cramp so use the cruise where I can
I thought the leg cramp from the accelerator was only me.

Without the Cruise facility I doubt I could use the car for a trip esp on motorways given how bad the cramp gets.
