Clutch???

Happy new year everyone!!

I've took my GT/S MC shift out over the holiday period a couple of times, yes I know I said she'd gone to bed for winter but the alure was too great!!
When she's cold I seem to be getting some transmission play when changing gear, it's worse if I slightly lift off the acc. when changing and like I said worse when cold.

From searching on here it sounds like it could be clutch ready to be changed, I purchased her in April with approx. 14000 miles and I think she's done about 20000 now, when I bought her Meridian Modena said she had clutch wear of 50%

Does my prognosis sound about right? I would say I drive her 60% steady, 30% spirited and 10% like I'd stolen her, not much stop start traffic unless in London so I would have said the clutch doesn't get used that much although she will get a bit of a hammering when I "kick her head in" from time to time!

Thoughts are greatly appreciated

By transmission play, do you mean clonking of the drive, or clutch slippage..?? Is it the same when hot..??

Yes play in the uptake so when it changes gear there is a slight clunk
Seems to be better when warmer

That could be a low fluid level in the F1, which expands as it get's warm, worth a look..??

There is a reservoir on top, I think you need a special tool as the space is very limited and you have to put this tool in the tank and measure the level. There is a thread on here somewhere I seem to remember. Or take it for checking in to an Indie..!! This might not be the issue but as it gets better when warm it could be..!!
