Ceramic Brakes Anyone?

From a purely financial perspective you'd want them to last at least 10x as long to cover the increased replacement cost.

What do genuine GT/s steel brakes cost for a full set including pads and calipers????
A lot more than this ceramic set on Fleebay I'm betting.

why does a new set cost a similar amount for a BMW, I doubt carbon ceramic brake manufacturers are on every street corner

Not sure the second hand on Fleabay and manufacturer's originals are a reasonable comparison, but I take your point. A Big Brake Kit for all four corners from FD costs around US$8k, which from memory is far more than Maserati charges. From memory my FD replacement front disks were about $800. Or £. I seem to remember that to replace the carbon disks on a Ferrari is something like £20k.
