Hi
I am looking at a car that has a TV tuner installed but as it is analogue, it is not picking up the 'new' digital signal. Can this be upgraded?
Are the centre console units interchangeable between the pre and post 2006 changes?

Thanks

There are a few sellers on eBay mostly from Germany that have multimedia interface adapters for the QP/Fiat/Blaunpunkt system. They can be hooked up to DTV tuners and operated via the OEM switches, apparently.

I don't know of anyone who has done this though.

I had a look on eBay but it is not detailing a solution that would provide a digital signal. If components from a post 06 car could be sourced, would they work? Did a digital tuner get installed, ever?

I have a digital (Freeview) tuner installed but it is part of a more expensive Kenwood vehicle integration system that provides iPod, Bluetooth and SatNav in a 2007 QP with touchscreen.

However I found this and wondered if you could plug/play with this as a straight swap?

The key issue (I think) is that the output of the unit has to be a compatible signal that the Maserati entertainment unit is expecting which I believe is NTSC/RCA. It would be worth contacting the company to see what they have to say.

If a straight plug and play is not possible then, for sure, this interface ought to enable you to connect any generic external video source to the Maserati's screen.

Thanks - I have sent an email and await a response. The plug and play option would be the most straightforward.

Update for those who may be interested:
The guy at Park my auto (Russel) could not help and advised that I contact Navtv.
