Cambiocorsa gearbox warning light

Was driving home last night on a country road, and got into a situation where I was slowing down around a tight steep bend, I dropped down to second, and at just the same time there was an obstruction in the road just around the corner and I had to brake quickly to a virtual stop to pass the obstruction. As I passed the obstruction, I had no drive, the gearbox was in neutral, 2 was flashing, and the gearbox warning light was flashing with a beeping noise. I drifted to a stop, quickly turned off the ignition, restarted, selected first, and was off again as normal.
I think I got into a rare situation with the combination of changing gear and at the same time carrying out another unexpected action, the sudden braking to a virtual stop, that confused the gearbox software to cause it to decide neutral was the best option!
Anyone had the same experience?

Yep. Couple of times I've misjudged the approach to a roundabout and ended up in second with the clutch out.

Bit of a PITA

It's only happened once before, on the test drive before I bought the car, and again at the time I pulled into a layby quickly while in manual mode, that was 18 months ago. (...And the reason why I decided a full PPI was in order even though buying from a trader!)
I think if I hadn't just requested second, but just braked to let the car decide, it would not have happened.
At least having experienced it once before, I knew a quick ignition off and on would get me going again, but annoying all the same for the obstruction then decided to move off, and was clearly puzzled why I had drifted to a stop with me blipping the throttle and not going anywhere!

Wouldn't do anything, 2 flashing but in neutral. As soon as ignition off and back on still in neutral but N so could select first okay and away as normal.
