Caen, Normandy 4th Annual Retro Historic Festival -2nd & 3rd July 2011

Hi All,

I came across this event being held this coming July in Caen over the weekend of 2nd & 3rd July 2011.

Visited their web site and it looks pretty good,

Anyone been to this event before?

We that is the royal WE may look to visit the event and stay Friday and Saturday night returning on Sunday late afternoon

Anyone else interested?

Not a problem, just seeing if anyone had been to the event previously and seeing if it is worth a trip along to enjoy, which looking at the web site seems it could be ,

I'm not working that weekend... Could be a really nice break with some decent roads for the car! Where is our resident Francophile, Pierre Noonan?

Nice trip on the overnight ferrey the night before as well, much more fun than the daytime crossing

Looks like pre-1980, wonder if they make exceptions for interesting modern cars (like they do at the LM Classic)?

I might take the Marcos, it'll be its only Euro outing of the year.

Hi Lewis,

I like the idea of travelling over night on the ferry, especially as we could go straight to Caen!

I did send an email the Retro web site with an enquiry of tickets and parking I await an email back,

Not heard from our Stag Do friend - could be too close to the big day? Or may be not allowed out to play????
