cabin rattle and new xenons

Love my car but I now have 3 or 4 rattles in the cab which makes driving around town (especially in sport) a tad annoying.
One of the rattles is in the headlining in the rear drivers side quarter. Seems the leather above the window has come loose from the tech cloth headlining, Whats the best way of getting it rebonded?
Two other rattles are coming from the side air vents (both passenger and driver). I assume this is a dash out to get to the air vent hoses?

Finally I replaced the standard lights with Phillips xenons. I decided to take the car to a garage as its really a wheels off job to get easy access to the lights and its also much easier on a a set of ramps. The problem now is that the dash warning lights flash on and off. Doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. Has anyone else had this isssue and is there a solution other than bulb out?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Hilts,
I think you'll find the trim is held in by plastic clips and is independent of the headlining.
I removed the complete rear trim except that panel whilst restoring the interior. Avorio interior will do that to you.
The lower panels were certainly held in by plastic clips.
I did solve a dash rattle when I found the glovebox lock was rattling against the plastic striker plate. I wrapped the plate with black electrician's tape so the contact was soft.
The vents slide out as many have replaced theirs. I think I have rattles developing in the A pillars. Not sure what's in there though. As it's close by, it could be your problem too.

I answered this with a detailed long post last time but for some reason it's not here. Silicone spray where the leather rubs the door pillar trim, the other one is likely to be the glovebox. Sorry but I know nothing about the lights.

the problem with the dash warning light come from the different electricity absorption of the new lights.
You either need to fit standard bulbs or find a resistor that will adjust the electricity absorption.
For example if you by LED bulbs you always need to go with the ones with an integrated resistor, if you have a car with a warning light to indicate lights failing. It is quite annoying but the majority of bulbs come already with the resistor because all recent cars have these warning.
Go on line or Ebay and I am sure you will find the right resistor to add to the circuit and stop the warning light flashing.
You will need a tester to get the new lamps current consumption and test the old bulbs. Then you buy a resistor of as requires.

Good luck

Many thanks. I took out the air vents but the screws behind were tight so the rattle must be near the A pillars. I'll do some research on the resistor, at the moment the light only comes on when I use the brake.

The screw head cover on the door opener can rattle and sound like the same area.

Thanks will try this. Removed the small speakers in the door near the mirror and its not this. Problem is Mrs H won;t drive the car so its hard for me work out exactly where the noises are coming from.
