Yes that's what I'm seeing, only 20% chance of rain is better than getting struck by lightening and thunder drowning out the sound of the exhaust..!!

Oh I forgot, Thor is on my side..!!

Managed to book in to the Hinkley Island, but unfortunately too late for the deal, so I will now have to go a bit slower to conserve fuel and save a bit..!!

My forecast says merely the vaguest hint of a light passing shower in the afternoon, 20/21 deg most of the day, mostly sunny in the morning, mostly cloudy in the afternoon.

Insurance: Moris quoted £173 for a sum insured of £49,500 subject to an excess of £2,000.00 and excluding competitive driving, mechanical breakdown, consumable items, transportation costs or any third party liability. I'll probably take it. I'd feel a right **** if my car got dinged. Besides, it's less money than the cost of a track-day. More worthy, too.

As for the hotel, I'll be coming up in the morning. Early start but as it's only the young petrolhead and me we elected to just make a day of it. Plan is to meet you all at the hotel and convoy over to the track. Failing that does anyone have the address / co-ordinates / road name for the track entrance which we'll be using?

The "pass" says, Bath Lane, Bruntingthorpe and approach from the A5199 end to avoid village..!!

have we got separate parking at the hinkley andy?
I asked them when I booked, but they were non-committal. Last year we had the area immediately to the right as you come into the hotel entrance. I'll try and get them to reserve it for Maserati and friends again.

I told you not to tell them about your nature ramble last year adam! that is quite a bit more expensive, even given the value difference between your GTS and the 3200 but agree with you. not worth the risk really.

Not long now all ......

Drew, did you say you would bring a raffle ticket book or do I need to get one tomorrow?

Remember all to bring something for the food bank which you will give in at the gate I believe.....

Getting excited now and it will be great to catch some old friends and meet some new ones.........My two boys are beside themselves with excitement....

The pool is a great idea, but I have to walk my dog usually about 4pm, so I might have to miss out, unless we have a midnight splash-in..!!
