I'm no expert on cars but between us we've had Ferraris and Porsches but this thing is on another level for performance the only downside is that you have to be a contortionist to get in it but makes up for it on the open road.

Same here (although I'm 6ft 3"). There's plenty of room in an Evora though. I fit in them.

Same goes for Lamborghini. The Huracan is a short mans car. The Aventador I fit with a squeeze, but I'm not a fan of driven with the steering wheel between my knees.
And an Aventador is just too big to be on UK roads.

I’m 6’ 4” and need a doctors note to get in a Boxster. I once got into my mates MG Midget, all I could see in front of me were my knees. I was young and supple then, no way can that happen now....

I'm 6ft and my series 1 fits like a glove.

Great to see some Lotus love on another car forum, too many dismiss them due to ageing chassis design and family hatch power plants.

I had a Supercharged 2.2 VX220, and that thing was incredible, with 'only' 240hp. Rode beautifully, and once you have changed the seats, was perfect for me, and im 6ft 2. Incredibly comfortable on a long run.

Weighed it with half a tank of fuel at 880kg, to say it went like a stabbed rat, is selling it short.

Jay Leno has just done a piece on YouTube about the reintroduction of Lotus into the US with last year’s Evora. He seemed to like it.

My mate had a turbo charged one! To say it was fast was a slight understatement.
Getting in the passenger side was easy enough. Getting out was tricky. On my hands and knees if the roof was on.

Back in the day a mate had an Esprit Turbo, used to drive under the car park boom arm it was so low. Didn’t have the dangly bits on the boom arm though, that would have stopped him..

I think that lotus looks great. What I cant understand is why its classed as 'race / track ready' for road use - and certainly not cheap (the 430GT ones are 100+ new), and yet the 'soft' ferrari which every slags off is quicker. I know the list price of a cali T is more - but used ones can be had at 100-105 now.
What do you think? Am i being pernickety. I just think a stripped out light british racing car should be able to go faster to 60 than a fat bummed italian cruiser.

I went in an Exige S with a very talented owner round the Bedford Autodrome. We ate Caterhams for breakfast!

It was just absolutely superb, what a car.

Getting in and out - sit on the sill and swivel.

Issue for me is that they don't live well as an outdoor car.
