Looks like there's a convoy going from Tothill Services, near Newbury, heading south at 8am to Fleet services on M3. Then leaving there at 8.30 to meet at Cobham, Hilton 9.00 ish and then on to Brooklands....sounds fun!

Yes. Not for me...... :-(

There was no parade lap of Maseratis which was odd as they did laps for predominantly Fiat, Ferrari, Lancia, Alfa and Lamborghini, but not Maserati. There was a GT and an older model included (I don't know the number), plus one 3200 (I think) but I expected much more seeing as there were so many in the paddock...

:-(

Ended up parked on the left front corner of the maser parking area next to another GT which was the same colour. Said hi to the owner but didn't meet any of you chaps.

Fabulous day, unexpected sunburn. It was good to see DougieMC again, ditto Donny and his lovely 599. Spoke to various other Maserati owners but no one else from here, I think.

This made me laugh:

This made me over-excited:

And this lot made me delighted to be a Maserati owner:

There was a Quattroporte Mk1 as well, anyone else see it? It was hidden away among the Lancias on the old finishing straight for some reason, and was in very nice condition. It was a great day, thanks also to the weather; biggest turn out I've seen for this meeting. I mentioned the Forum to several of the other Maserati drivers, who hadn't heard of it, including the chap trying to sell his 4200 so I pointed him here.

Didn't stay to see/hear the Dragon (pic 1 of AdamN's above) go up the hill. It was indeed a laugh but pretty unimpressive on the MB World parade lap I thought, maybe not firing properly (there's a lot to go wrong!). For those who didn't see it (from the Brooklands site): 1924 Delage chassis, powered by a 27-litre Isotta Fraschini V12 engine from a WW2 Caproni bomber: video of it starting up, which is the entertainment part, here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLmqpTs4afg - it was put together in 2010, so a bit of a mongrel to say the least. Brave man though. I loved the interview when the commentator asked him if he was nervous the first time he fired it up: he just said "yes".

The parade laps were odd yes: every big marque except Maseratis - just the pace car GTS they were using and the 3500 GT from a dealer (on sale for North of £300K, if anyone had some loose change lying around). No idea what the plan was there, but the cars were "invited". Who have we offended...?

I was there with my son in the other 4200, trying to keep up with that hooligan in the 3200.
Great day, what a mad drive on the M3/M25.
Good to meet you all, must do it again some time.......? Caring for Cars

I was there for a couple of hours, didn't get to park with the Maseratis I was parked with a mixed bag of stuff. Shame, was a space next to a forum members silver/red 4200 spyder but wasn't sure if the spot was fair game. Idiot, should have taken the spot. Ho hum.

Lovely day but not as easy to savour with a 16 month old!

My first time, had a great day, have a very red face now.

Shame there were so few Maseratis on the Parade. The hill climb was good entertainment, the biggest cheer was saved for the last car to go up; the very high spec GTS Stradale used as the pace car - it stalled. :embarrassed:

Mine on the right.

Alfa 4c and 8C are very imposing cars.

What a brilliant day out. Managed to get a parking spot near the entrance/ clubhouse. I think mine must have been the dirtiest car there having driven down the day before and got rained on on the way. Apologies for not making myself known to anyone here, but I got a bit distracted catching up with some good biker friends of mine that I haven't seen recently.

Got a wave from a GT on the M25 after we left though.

That may have been me!!!

Was a really great day; I suspect one of the best shows of the year - so much to see and do around the grounds...

Saw an odd 3200 with a third exhaust pipe dropping from the centre of the rear silencer - anyone's on here ??
