Bordeaux Interior "plastic" bits...

I looked at some of the other 4200's on Friday, and the covers for switches, door handles & panels in mine are definitely brown even though all the leather is black. It doesn't look like its just fading of black paint...it looks like I have the panels and covers from a Bordeaux interior (wonder if mine started out Bordeaux and someone dyed it or swapped ?)

Looking on Eurospares, a full replacement kit for a CC Spyder would be about £5k (!!!!!!!!???) including £1700 for the centre console aluminium plate (the bit round the reverse switch and sport button) and another £1700 for the info centre surround, plus two door handle surrounds, 2 door insert panels, 1 ash tray & surround, 1 NIT cover, 1 surround for the door mirror switches...

So, after I've taken a few minutes to stop my head from spinning (£1700 for a bit of aluminium), is there anyone out there with Bordeaux leather but grey panels want to swap?

On Conaero's advice, I've written to David Askew to see if he has anything that I could have.

£5k! Sheesh!

Are the covers hard plastic, Chris? If so you could always take them to a body shop and have them painted. I'd imagine it would be considerably cheaper than £5k.

Ha! I would hope so...

Some of them are plastic, some are aluminium.

I'm talking to David Askew who is looking to see what he has - I've suggested a p/x on my pieces with him, but waiting to hear back after sending him photos of the bits.

If I can't get replacements at a reasonable price then I'll look at getting them sprayed (or as someone suggested on Friday, carbon wrapped! : )
Cheers.
