Boot Struts

I was opening the boot on my 4200 when one of the struts broke away from the anchor point on the body. When I inspected the other side it is also partially broken in the same place. I was wondering if anyone had tried to replace the struts themselves? Is it the kind of job someone with minimal engineering knowledge could do?

Yes, very easy to do yourself. #'s on the strut, they are common and avail. at most parts places. Slide the metal clip down in the slot, and they pop right off.
