Boot opening

The boot lid only lifts slightly on the motor release and you then have to actually lift the lid manually. There is a sprung plunger that pushes the lid up from the catch when the motor releases the lock. If that is damaged or missing the lid just keeps opening and re-latching itself.

Just a thought though; are you expecting the boot lid to open fully using motors. If so that's not how it works. It only releases the locking latch.
